So Far Today....

I've 1) caught my child trying to throw various stuffed animals up into the ceiling fan so that "they can fly, too".....and 2) listened to her explaining how there is a "big freaking ant in her room" and how she tried to "squish it with her little shoe!" She definitely keeps me laughing!!!

Happy Anniversary!!!

A couple weeks ago...on March 15th....Jeff and I celebrated our 8 year wedding anniversary! I can't believe it was that long ago that I was in VaBeach visiting Jeff during my spring break....and that by the end of the day we'd be husband and wife! That one split-second decision to elope turned into many years of marriage....and what an incredible eight years it has been! So in honor of marital bliss, I thought I'd post some quotes.

I love being married. It's so great to find that one special person you want to annoy for the rest of your life. ~Rita Rudner

A long marriage is two people trying to dance a duet and two solos at the same time. ~Anne Taylor Fleming

More marriages might survive if the partners realized that sometimes the better comes after the worse. ~Doug Larson

A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person. ~Mignon McLaughlin, The Second Neurotic's Notebook, 1966

Success in marriage does not come merely through finding the right mate, but through being the right mate. ~Barnett R. Brickner

In a time when nothing is more certain than change, the commitment of two people to one another has become difficult and rare. Yet, by its scarcity, the beauty and value of this exchange have only been enhanced. ~Robert Sexton

The sum which two married people owe to one another defies calculation. It is an infinite debt, which can only be discharged through eternity. ~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Chains do not hold a marriage together. It is threads, hundreds of tiny threads which sew people together through the years. ~Simone Signoret

A wedding anniversary is the celebration of love, trust, partnership, tolerance and tenacity. The order varies for any given year. ~Paul Sweeney

Kiteboarders and Windsurfers

I took these on our most recent trip to Ipan Beach as well. They usually stay further down on the beach, but for some reason they decided to come right over in front of us. It was almost as if they were showing off, lol! No complaints here; I got some great pics!

Ipan Beach 3

This was our third and most recent trip to our favorite beach. It was just Jessica and me this time since Jeff was sleeping after working night shift the previous night. Hope you enjoy all the pics of Jessica!

Ipan Beach 2

This was our second visit to Ipan Beach and our first official beach trip....swimsuits, flip-flops, and beach towels... sunscreen and beach toys...and a couple of newly purchased beach chairs! We had a blast!!!

Ipan Beach

My favorite beach so far and the closest one to our house....as in get in the car and 2 1/2 - 3 minutes later, we're there! So we'll definitely be frequenting this beach the most often, and you'll be seeing lots of pictures from here. We've already been 3 times!

These pics are from our first visit to Ipan Beach which was only mine and Jessica's second or third day in Guam. She was still recovering from strep throat at the time which is why we didn't wear swimsuits and plan on getting completely soaked and in the water...though she came pretty close to it anyway!

LMAO!!!

I'm sharing a pear with Jessica today in which she is eating more of it than I am. So I asked her when she started taking such big bites. Her response...."when I started using my big mouth."

Oh my gosh! I was almost rolling in the floor laughing so hard!

227 Pacha Dr.

Otherwise know as our home for the next 3 yrs. It's a 3 bdrm, 2 bath single-family home with a 2-car garage, a huge back patio, and right over 1400 sqft...bigger than our house was in VaBeach.

I'll admit that I wasn't so sure about it at first, especially since I wasn't able to be there in person to look at rentals and only saw a few pictures for each one...and this one didn't even have a dishwasher! Despite that, Jeff said this one was the best he'd looked at yet, so I asked him if the realtor could go back out there and take more pics for me. She did, but I still wasn't quite sure about it. We all know it's usually the woman who picks out a house, and I was having serious issues with the fact that I wasn't the one looking, deciding, and making the final decision on our living arrangements for the next 3 yrs, lol! Jeff was! So I put my trust in his judgement....

And....I LOVE IT!!! It's soooo spacious, and I've never had this many cabinets or this much counter space in the kitchen. Each room has a ceiling fan and vaulted ceilings, and the master bath has a double vanity and a JACUZZI TUB! He did a damn good job choosing a house for us! I can't wait for our household goods to arrive and really get settled in! Oh, and hand washing all the dishes isn't all that bad, lol! And thank goodness for loaner furniture courtesy of the housing office!
