Update

Picking up from where I left off on my last blog....just as Jessica and I were both starting to feel better, we both caught some sort of stomach bug the day before we came back--diarrhea and throwing-up. Thankfully the worst of it only lasted a little more than 24 hours and we were able to make it through the flight with no mishaps. It still took us most of the following week before we were back to ourselves and had our appetites back. On the bright side, I lost 6 lbs during all of this which is the first time ever I've lost weight while on vacation!! AND I've actually managed to keep it off! WoooHoooo!!!

Since I arrived home, I've been able to relax some during the week and enjoy my time with Jessica more because I am no longer watching Kylie and Noah. To make a long story short....with all the crap that happened while I was gone, I decided it would be in all of our best interests that I no longer keep them during the week. Seeing Cherisa's response...or shall I say...lack there of not only showed us her true personality but also confirmed that I made the right decision. Jeff and I are so much better without someone like that in our lives. Besides, I didn't realize how much I missed all the one-on-one time with Jessica and how much I am able to get done around here without two extra kids!

On that note...my current house project has been taking all the interior doors down, removing the old hardware, sanding, washing, painting them and the doorframes, and putting them back on with brand new brushed nickel hardware. I've already done the ones downstairs and am now working on three of the ten upstairs doors. It should keep me busy for the next couple of weeks!

On the 15th of this month we celebrated our 7yr anniversary!!!!! Compared to my parents 34yr marriage and Jeff's parents 20 something year marriage, seven years seems like a relatively short period of time, but I know we've already been through our fair share of things and are well on our way to that many years of marital bliss...at least for the most part, lol! I'm so proud of us for making it this far and sticking it out together during the rough times and, of course, the deployments. It really does make the relationship stronger and the good times better! There is so much more I could write on this subject, but I think this blog is already gonna be long enough!

My period was a full week late this month, and I hadn't been that late since I was pregnant with Jessica. I didn't really think I was since I was gone for half the month and it's sorta hard to try and get pregnant when you and you spouse are in two different states. I ended up taking two tests at different times last week, and even though they were both negative, I have to admit that I did get my hopes up as the days passed by and there was no sign of my period....until yesterday....ugh...dissappointment once again. I have to leave in about an hour for my appointment with the infertility specialist and am looking forward to hopefully getting some answers and seeing what's gonna happen.

Randomness

Jessica and I have pretty much recovered from our "sickness" with exception for a few coughing fits here and there. Thank goodness...and just in time for us to return home. I hate it that our whole vacation was spent sick in bed.

Jeff's parents drove the five hours over here to visit us today and left a little while ago. Tomorrow we're heading back up to Nashville to spend a night with Karla and the girls before we fly back home on Friday.

In other news....Jeff is stressed out now. I leave and things go absolutely crazy there. I'm not gonna go into details, because honestly I don't have the time or energy to....I just can't believe the audacity of some people!!! It'll be interesting to see what happens next week.

AND...my appointment with the infertility specialist will be on March 31! I'm soooo excited!!!!!!!!!

I'm Here!!!!

We arrived in Scottsboro at noon today since we had to stay overnight in Nashville because of the snow. I can't complain though cause Jessica got extra time to play with Heather and Lydia. I love how she disappears in the back bedroom with them and I don't have to worry about her! And get this....it's snowing in Virginia Beach! Jeff actually got off work early because of it! I leave and it finally snows!!!!

Anyway....our flight went really well. Jessica did AMAZING....like this should surprise me anymore! I don't know why I stressed so much about how she would do. When the plane took off, she actually laughed and said it was funny!!! She fell asleep about 20 minutes later and didn't wake up until the plane landed. I was relieved...and actually got to relax a bit too!

I'm off to go visit with everyone....don't know how much I'll be blogging the next week or so....just gonna enjoy all the time with my family!
