Four years ago -- after two very emotional years spent ttc -- Jeff and I were blessed with a tiny but nonetheless amazing miracle who has blessed our lives in more ways than I could ever begin to count. And this past Monday, she celebrated her ~FOURTH~ birthday!!!
The night before the big day I decorated the dining room and blew up over 2 dozen balloons to sneak into her room while she was sleeping. She awoke that morning to a room full of balloons and her reaction was priceless. So worth it!!! :) After letting daddy sleep in for an extra hour, we decided to wake him up and Jessica insisted on bringing a few of her presents to open in our bed. We had a few errands to run that morning involving the upcoming transfer, and then we picked up her Strawberry Shortcake cupcakes at one of the local bakeries and McDonalds for lunch. The afternoon consisted of opening the rest of her presents, eating more cupcakes, making a trip to the park, and cooking homemade lasagna and garlic bread for dinner....per Jessica's request! What a great day!!!
I still can't believe she's four....FOUR!!! She's getting so big and growing up waaaaay too fast for my liking. But it has truly been a gift to watch her grow and change from that tiny, precious 6lb bundle of joy into this bright-eyed, energetic, intelligent, and hilarious child with opinions and attitude all her own. Jeff and I are beyond blessed!!!

It's Official!
We're leaving Guam! This past Friday Jeff finally received his pcs orders for limited duty....we're heading back to Virginia Beach! And we have to be there by July 15th!!! AHHHHHHHH! Here we go again!
Luckily, his first class gave him the rest of that day off, and in five hours we were able to accomplish oh so many things....30 days notice to our landlord and the property manager, scheduling dates for the express shipment (which was yesterday) and household goods pack-out, finding out info about departure TLA, obtaining a letter of authorization from our bank to ship the Kia again, and setting a date for the power to be cut off! WHEW! Told you we got a lot done, lol! Let's just hope the next several weeks go as smoothly and productive as that day did!

No Clue!!!
As of last month, a medical condition arose which requires necessary care and extended treatment, BUT the naval hospital was experiencing a shortage in medical personnel in the related field of expertise....which meant that we would have to be transferred somewhere else to receive medical care. We were told this would be a complete pcs transfer back to the states that would happen within 2 months! UGH!!!
Of course nothing has happened yet, and now we're hearing that the Naval Hospital has received new medical transfers in the related field, so we could possibly stay here to receive necessary treatment.
I have no clue what's going on anymore! I'm so confused!!! I hate this waiting game and all the back and forth, but worst of all, not knowing what's gonna happen or where we'll be in the next couple of months. I know the future is never set in stone, but I just wish we had some sort of idea what our future holds and some sense of stability. Maybe soon. Hopefully soon.

Where I Left Off...
Our household goods arrival went smoothly. I marked everything off the inventory list as it came in the door, and the movers unpacked all our boxes. Of course, they're not required to put anything on shelves or in cabinets and closets which meant that we were left with quite a mess...dishes and cookware covering the kitchen counter top and piles of stuff everywhere. We could barely walk through our living room, lol! Thankfully our neighbor was kind enough to surprise us Pizza Hut for dinner that night, and within 48 hrs I had most the house functional and livable.
As of right now....almost a month later....with exception for hanging up pictures and curtains, I have completely settled in and organized the entire interior of the house....every single room! GO ME!!! I guess it helped being here for 5wks before our household goods arrived; I knew exactly where I wanted everything! The garage still has many random items in it and needs to be organized which might not get done....along with not hanging up our pictures or curtains....at all...and for a very specific reason...
Due to recent events, it appears that our time in Guam is gonna be cut short...VERY SHORT...which means our lives are gonna be turned completely upside down yet again! I have so many mixed feelings right now, am trying not to stress which is impossible, and am just hoping I have the strength to make it through all this...and keep my sanity intact while I'm at it! I'll try and keep this updated as we find out more information, but no promises since I got enough to deal with at the moment.

FINALLY!
Our household goods will be delivered tomorrow! YAY!!!!!! I know it'll be one crazy day, but I'm so excited! Jeff even says that I have a "pip" in my step now, lol! I can't wait to have all our stuff here....to get everything put away, hung up, organized, and settled in...and most importantly, to sleep in our own bed...our wonderful, amazing king size pillow-top bed! :)
The only downside is the housing office can't pick up our loaner furniture until the 19th...which means that today was spent doing some straightening up around here, taking our clothes out of the dressers and chests, and moving most of the loaner furniture into the garage. Jeff and I did our room this morning, and I just finished Jessica's room. Tomorrow we'll deflate our air matresses and finish up the living room before the movers arrive. Jeff's also gonna pick up some bottled water, gatorade, and a 12 pack of sodas for the movers to drink. :)

What A Day!
So the morning started out getting ready and heading to the base to take care of some business. We needed to go to psd to file mine and Jessica's travel claim and also to correct one of Jeff's pay issues...something that should have taken maybe an hour; however, it turned into a 6hr pain in the ass event in which we ran circles around base...from the psd office to the medical clinic to the precinct and even to the big Naval hospital off base....trying to find some essential documentation which we shouldn't have had to do to begin with.
Apparently the psd personnel have 1) lost mine and Jessica's flight itinerary that Jeff turned in last month so we can't file the travel claim yet, and 2) can't find or also lost the documentation stating that Jessica and I are command sponsored to be here so they can't give Jeff the correct amount of COLA (cost of living allowance). And then they look at me like I'm the crazy one when I say that the Navy wouldn't have paid for mine and Jessica's tickets if we weren't command sponsored! I know that someone...either here or back in Norfolk... royally screwed up Jeff's transfer package if the documentation for command sponsorship isn't in his file! The only thing we managed to accomplish through all this is the realization that either the psd personnel here or back in VA are a bunch of morons who can't correctly and successfully complete a transfer...as in without missing documentation. UGH!
On the bright side, Jeff checked his email once we finally arrived home and found the notification we have been desperately waiting for. Our household goods have arrived in Guam, and the personal property office is awaiting our phone call to schedule a date for delivery! WOOT!!!!!

And Of Course...
It wouldn't feel like Easter without this one tradition...dyeing eggs! Jessica had a blast doing these and would hardly let me help! I plan on using half of them for deviled eggs and the other half for a small batch of egg salad.
