Update

Picking up from where I left off on my last blog....just as Jessica and I were both starting to feel better, we both caught some sort of stomach bug the day before we came back--diarrhea and throwing-up. Thankfully the worst of it only lasted a little more than 24 hours and we were able to make it through the flight with no mishaps. It still took us most of the following week before we were back to ourselves and had our appetites back. On the bright side, I lost 6 lbs during all of this which is the first time ever I've lost weight while on vacation!! AND I've actually managed to keep it off! WoooHoooo!!!

Since I arrived home, I've been able to relax some during the week and enjoy my time with Jessica more because I am no longer watching Kylie and Noah. To make a long story short....with all the crap that happened while I was gone, I decided it would be in all of our best interests that I no longer keep them during the week. Seeing Cherisa's response...or shall I say...lack there of not only showed us her true personality but also confirmed that I made the right decision. Jeff and I are so much better without someone like that in our lives. Besides, I didn't realize how much I missed all the one-on-one time with Jessica and how much I am able to get done around here without two extra kids!

On that note...my current house project has been taking all the interior doors down, removing the old hardware, sanding, washing, painting them and the doorframes, and putting them back on with brand new brushed nickel hardware. I've already done the ones downstairs and am now working on three of the ten upstairs doors. It should keep me busy for the next couple of weeks!

On the 15th of this month we celebrated our 7yr anniversary!!!!! Compared to my parents 34yr marriage and Jeff's parents 20 something year marriage, seven years seems like a relatively short period of time, but I know we've already been through our fair share of things and are well on our way to that many years of marital bliss...at least for the most part, lol! I'm so proud of us for making it this far and sticking it out together during the rough times and, of course, the deployments. It really does make the relationship stronger and the good times better! There is so much more I could write on this subject, but I think this blog is already gonna be long enough!

My period was a full week late this month, and I hadn't been that late since I was pregnant with Jessica. I didn't really think I was since I was gone for half the month and it's sorta hard to try and get pregnant when you and you spouse are in two different states. I ended up taking two tests at different times last week, and even though they were both negative, I have to admit that I did get my hopes up as the days passed by and there was no sign of my period....until yesterday....ugh...dissappointment once again. I have to leave in about an hour for my appointment with the infertility specialist and am looking forward to hopefully getting some answers and seeing what's gonna happen.
